Renal Scan

Renal imaging techniques, such as DTPA Renal Scan and MAG-3 Renal Scan, provide dynamic (movie-like) assessments of kidney function and excretion, offering unique insights that cannot be captured by other imaging modalities. The Post-Captopril Renal Scan is specifically used to evaluate severe hypertension. Additionally, Renal cortical DMSA imaging is utilized to localize ectopic kidneys and for the assessment and monitoring of urinary tract infections (UTIs) in pediatric patients, aiding in their treatment management.
