Nearly 70% of cancer patients will require radiotherapy as part of their treatment journey. The Department of Clinical and Radiation Oncology is equipped with the latest, most advanced technologies to deliver both external-beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy with the highest precision. Our external-beam therapy facilities include three state-of-the-art linear accelerators (VARIAN UNIQUE, TRUEBEAM, and VARIAN DUAL ENERGY CLINAC IX), a Cyberknife (ACCURAY), a Cobalt- 60 unit with MLCs (EQUINOX Co-60), and a Brachytherapy Co-60 HDR system with interstitial needles. Additionally, we offer a 4-D CT Simulator and MR Simulator, both equipped with respiratory gating technology for enhanced accuracy.
We provide a comprehensive range of advanced treatments, including Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), LATTICE Radiotherapy, Electron Therapy, and high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. Our expertise in gynecological cancers also includes intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy, ensuring tailored, effective treatments for each patient
Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) is the most accurate, precise and advanced radiotherapy delivery technique offered by the institute. The equipment used for SBRT/SRS is Cyberknife and True Beam LINAC
We are equipped with the latest up to date version of CyberKnife.The only robotic radiotherapy/radio surgery system that can deliver non-surgical stereotactic treatments with sub-millimeter accuracy, anywhere in the body. The dose to the tumor is highest and delivered with high degree of accuracy, normal tissue sparing is excellent and the treatment time is short. This saves patients’ time and avoids side effects.AECH NORI is the first public sector hospital in the country having the Cyberknife facility Accuracy Cyber Knife S7-First and only fully Robotic Radiotherapy Machine with sub millimeter accuracy.
Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) are among the most advanced and precise radiotherapy techniques available. To deliver IMRT/VMAT, the institute is equipped with state-of-the-art Varian Single Energy Linear Accelerator, Varian Dual Energy CLINAC IX and TrueBeam Linear Accelerator. These technologies enable us to deliver the highest doses of radiation to the tumor while effectively sparing surrounding healthy tissues, thereby significantly reducing the side effects of radiotherapy. The TrueBeam Linear Accelerator is also equipped with Cone Beam CT for enhanced imaging and treatment precision.
We offer Brachytherapy for gynecological malignancies, including endometrial and cervical cancers. The institute is equipped with an HDR Brachytherapy Machine, enabling us to successfully treat all endometrial and cervical cancers using both Intracavitary and Interstitial HDR Brachytherapy techniques. Our HDR Flexitron Co-60 Brachytherapy System, coupled with a C-Arm, allows for precise CT and MRI-based guidance, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes.
